Harmonisation of commencement dates for health and safety law

In its first annual statement of changes to domestic occupational health and safety law the HSE informs that UK changes will be implemented on two days each year - 6th April and 1st October.
This harmonisation should make it easier for safety representatives to assist employers in implementing and responding to changes in occupational health and safety law and practice.

By bringing commencement dates together, employers will be able to prepare better for changes... We want to make it easier for changes to be implemented and ensure people are aware of them.
